The (Abortion) Abolitionist Movement

I’m Carl, a Grassroots representative of Alan Keyes for President.
May I ask you a Pro-Life question?

Are you aware that the pre-born already have protection under the United States Constitution?

The central purpose of the Constitution, according to the document itself, in its Preamble, is:

[quote] to secure the Blessings of Liberty
to ourselves and our posterity. [end quote]

The 5TH and 14TH Amendments already guarantee the unalienable right to life of all innocent persons. In the words of Justice Blackmun, whose majority decision in Roe v. Wade, opened the door to abortion-on-demand:

[quote] If the suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant’s case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the [Fourteenth] Amendment. [end quote]

Alan Keyes has promised that his first act as President will be to enforce, through the Executive Branch, a policy that recognizes the personhood of the pre-born!

"I would restore moral sovereignty. It’s something I think I can do very simply as President by declaring that no action taken by the executive branch would support, aid, or abet anyone who is destroying the constitutional rights of those who are in the womb. I would sign an executive order to that effect on day one and we would reestablish this government’s commitment to the constitutional rights of our posterity. Folks talk about our posterity, but you can’t really respect them if you’re killing them in the womb."

Compare that statement to any Pro-Life reference,
by any other candidate… EVER!

In 1860s America, the Abolitionist Movement to end slavery, had great resistance. Without Lincoln’s strong stance as Chief Executive, via the Emancipation Proclamation, would the 13TH Amendment, abolishing slavery, have come about?

The rules haven’t changed. It still takes 2/3 of the states to ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Who is the prospect that has never wavered from advocating the quickest route to protecting the pre-born?

ALAN KEYES
Give him the bully pulpit!!!
